Did you know you can give your kids a world-class education without purchasing any curriculum? Here is a list of some of my favorite free math programs:
Khan Academy–With math exercises stretching from basic arithmetic through advanced calculus and a focus on personalized learning, Khan Academy is a valuable resource for homeschooling families.
Big Brainz and XtraMath–For math facts, we like BigBrainz and XtraMath. We cycle through XtraMath about every 3 months to ensure the kids are totally fluent with math facts. They get faster each cycle. BigBrainz is much more fun and my kids always are excited to play it.
Bedtime Math–Bedtime Math is a great way to bring math to life. It is fun to do with your whole family or even friends. Their mission is to help kids love numbers so they can handle the math in real life. I like that it shows you can solve the same problem in different ways. You can sign up to receive the daily math challenge delivered to your email. http://bedtimemath.org/
Prodigy–Prodigy Math feels like you are playing a game. My kids are always eager to play Prodigy.
